• ONE PRESENCE AND ONE POWER - GOD THE GOOD, OMNIPOTENT
  God is everywhere equally present; active in our lives, in all life and in all situations.

• DIVINITY IN ALL HUMAN KIND - Because God is everywhere, God is also within everyone. This is true regardless of how a  person presents him or herself in any moment. 

   

• LAW OF MIND ACTION - Our lives are created by what we focus our thoughts upon. 

   

• AFFIRMATIVE PRAYER - Prayer is the most important thing we can do to help ourselves or someone else.  We pray as Jesus did giving thanks in advance claiming our good. 

   

• PRACTICE WHAT YOU KNOW -  This principle is the underpinning of all the others.  To know is not enough.  We must carry this forward into each day and every situation. 

UNITY’S 5 BASIC BELIEFS

1.      God is absolute GOOD, everywhere present.

2.      Human beings have a spark of DIVINITY within them, the Christ Spirit within.  Their very essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.

3.      Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their THINKING. Everything in the manifest realm has it’s beginning in thought.  (Law of Mind Action/Law of Attraction)

4.      PRAYER and MEDITATION are methods of communion between God and Humankind.  Through prayer, we lift our awareness to God and TALK from our heart to God.  In the Silence of meditation, we experience our ONENESS with God in Silence and LISTEN to God through ideas, images and intuition we receive.  Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God-Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

5.      Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough.  A person must also LIVE the truth he or she knows.
