BOARD OF DIRECTORS
CHRIST CHURCH UNITY
Board President's Message
Hello to the whole CCU family!
I cannot believe another two months have gone by.
Summer has just melted away! So many things have
happened this summer. It has been a great summer. We
have been blessed by some really great music from inside
and outside of our church, including Posipalooza and Armand
and Angelina. Our wonderful volunteer David Horst
made us a bicycle rack out of the word "Unity," Thank You
David! The fellowship hall has a furniture remake, thanks
to the Spa Day fundraiser and the office even received a
donation of a new and much needed laptop. I know you all
have enjoyed the Welcome Home signs on our front doors
as much as I have; it just hits home. We are finalizing
making our church home more secure for the adults and
the children. The Board had a Gary Simmons work day in
August to prepare for his seminar in October and to help
us make decisions that will continue to lead CCU in the
right direction. Very exciting!
The investment committee will be meeting again to
make sure the churches blessings (Assets) are in the best
place. The children had fun at VBS with their trip to OZ.
I would like to personally ask everyone to sign up early to
help with Fall Fest. Fall Fest is Saturday, September 18th. A
great day filled with live music and good times with our
church family. We need strong committees, our village
basically, to make it a success. Anyone that has items for
the silent auction, can sign up on the bulletin boards, or if
you want a booth let me or the office know.
I thank you for the many ideas that you have
presented to me about the church and your visions. Keep
them coming.
One more thank you to Paul Snider who recently
resigned from the Board for his two and a half years of
outstanding service. I also want to extend thanks to Lyle
Johnson for agreeing to fill in during the remainder of
Paul's term.
Life is not only good at Christ Church Unity, it’s
GREAT!
Simone Hite, CCU Board President
